I don't always like the Fashion Workshop features that Dolly did - but this one is pretty cool. The styling in this one reminds me of the Take a Walk (... on the wild side) looks in terms of the make-up and slightly rock-edge it takes. I am adoring the lurex socks in the last image together with the Madonna style crucifix dangling from the ear. Photography in this is by Andrew Southam and hair and make up by Aaren - who did the styling in this Scrambled fashion spread. I like the style of whoever this Aaren person is! Oh and I must mention the heart shaped sunglasses are from Granny May's. I am still so upset to this day that the stores are no longer - I adored the stationary and cool stickers from that store *sob*.

The statuesque Anneliese Seubert features in this Scarlet Woman editorial from Dolly. I really like the styling here and would wear most if not all of the pieces in it still. The anorak coat from Morrissey and Edmiston (back when they were a team) is gorgeous teamed with the sheer polka dot tights, and I love the bee-hive hair-do.

Seeing as there's been a few comments wondering about the various Dolly Covergirl winners, I thought I'd do a post featuring one. The winner for this year - 1988 was Kate Fischer who achieved notoriety for a number of things including being engaged to James Packer, and starring in the film Sirens alongside Elle Macpherson.

I do think out of all the finalists, she does stand out the most, although Talitha reminds me a lot of Heather Chandler in the film Heather's (one of my favourite films of all time). It's funny to see Guy Pearce and Craig McLachlan in the shots during their Neighbour's hey-day. I loved Craig's character so much that I named my Cabbage Patch doll Henry after him hehe!

I've been trying to find left-of-field editorials from the Dolly's and this fits the bill. A kind of edgier, darker, rebellious themed spread from Christian Lemech as photographer. I really like the image where the model (Natalie) is wearing the stripy outfit with patches on her knees (minus the platform thongs which ruin it unfortunately - some brogues would have worked so much better).

This is a very 1984 fashion spread entitled 'Rough Stuff' featuring heavy duty fabrics. Photography by Graham Shearer and I can only identify one of the models - Sarah Nursey of course - the ultimate Dolly model herself! A gorgeous set of photographs, and I do like the look of tying the bottom of the pants above the ankle, as seen in the second last image. The co-op pinafore dress is very much of this time as well .. I know I have definitely seen some ads in the issues for Co-op which I'll have to upload soon.

A gorgeous editorial here featuring gingham mixed with polka dots. It is definitely a very '88 look - especially if the outfits were paired with a pair of brogues. Emma Balfour is the model on the cover and the fashion spread and she made it quite big in the modelling world. I think she even made an appearance in the last season of Australia's Next Top Model. I always like seeing where the clothes are from, and I can see Sportsgirl and Cherry Lane items in the mix. I may do a Sportsgirl ad feature very soon I think..

Due to the popularity of the first post I did with a selection of Esprit advertisements from the 80's, I thought it was time to put some more up. As I was a huge Esprit fan in the early 90's, the brand does hold some great memories for me. My favourites from these pictures are the first one and probably the last one. In the last post I was going on about the iconic Esprit tote bag (which I was proud to carry around when I was in Year 7), and alas I still don't have one! Hmm.... may have to check ebay....

A different kind of editorial for Dolly..... it kind of reminds me more of something you'd see in 'The Face' magazine as opposed to a teen Australian magazine. I am very curious as to who this 'Aaren' is who styled both the cover and this shoot, and alas I could not find any information on him/her at all. Not too sure whether I would personally wear a jumper as pants, but I can see where they were going with it and for the shoot it looks great. I adore the hair and make-up particularly in this - the yellow eyeshadow/pink eyeliner combo really works.

As promised, here is a selection of advertisements from Cherry Lane. I tried to look up a bit of information online about them in terms of how long they traded for, but alas found nothing. The ads don't appear in any issues that I have before '85 though, and judging by the '91 ad here, they went through until the mid 90's perhaps. I've always found their ads to be interesting and I'm thinking they specialised in cotton separates.

A stunning editorial here with photography by Graham Shearer no less. This appears in this issue of Dolly. And it only dawned on me now that the brunette model in this is the cover girl (I know I'm a little slow)... but she looks really different on the cover. I wish the shot of her wearing the tartan beret made it to the cover - it would have looked a lot more striking. This spread is also a nice compliment to this clash of the tartans fashion spread from Dolly the following year - also by the genius Graham Shearer.

I think I remember this ad from back when ... but what I definitely do know, is that I emulated this look around this time - the whole ra-ra skirt paired with bike shorts look. I probably was highly influenced by the Locomotion video clip by Kylie Minogue as well though - actually that would have been my main influence as I was obsessed with Kylie and Jason at this time.

This fashion spread didn't scan in as well as it looks in the magazine itself unfortunately, but still striking nonetheless. I knew instantly that the jeans the girls are wearing are Faberge as I picked a pair up just like the ones the girl on the right is wearing in the last image at an op-shop ages ago and remember them well. (Although I did end up getting rid of them as the zip was just waaaay to long and high and they just weren't flattering in the slightest)!

Myer Miss Shop Catalogue - Dolly Magazine May 1985

I've been looking for this particular Myer catalogue spread for aages and couldn't quite locate the issue it was in, but here it is! It is sooo cute, and even stars local celebrity Cameron Daddo who happens to be married to Dolly's It Girl Alison Brahe. As a matter of fact, they appeared in a recent issue of a women's magazine (not sure if it was New Idea or Woman's Day) declaring how they make their marriage work. It's sweet that they're still together after all this time!

The featured clothes themselves in separate form probably would not be all that flattering for those without a model figure, but as they're put together in the spread and with the models featured, they do look gorgeous!

Throwaway Fashion - Dolly December 1981

This gorgeous little two-page mini fashion spread is the punkiest I've seen Dolly magazine ever get! It's kind of a cleaner, sweeter version of punk - the girl wearing the multi-coloured head piece definitely reminds me of the Blitz Kids and that's a very good thing indeed!

This spread is in the Annie Jones issue from a couple of posts ago - it is a fabulous issue, and I will be posting more to come from it shortly.

When I first got this issue I was basically in love with everything in it! It just oozes 1981 all over! Annie Jones (aka Jane from Neighbours) looks absolutely gorgeous in her frilly blouse and rouge-y cheeks. I think I can summarise this fashion spread with the following words: knicker-bockers, bloomers, teased hair, shorts. Utterly cute.

Here we have this 1984 Dolly starring another regular Dolly model - Jenny. I personally don't really recognise her from many issues though. I think she has a more high-end model look than the usual Dolly model had, and can imagine her doing some couture modelling. Every time I glance through this issue, I'm always drawn to the red plastic sneakers and upon reading the fine print, found that these are some Jean Paul Gaultier for Sportsgirl sneakers which really surprises me! I guess the high/low end collaborations have had a lot of press lately, and I never really thought it was done that much in the past, but there you go!

This issue I definitely remember having at the time - featuring the all time fave covergirls! Within the magazine, it was interesting to read of Sarah Nursey having spent three years living in an Israeli Kibbutz after finishing school!

I chose this fashion spread because I really love the heavy focus on lurex and sequins - oh and that vintage green dress on Anna-Louise is simply gorgeous!

The final image is for Roxan who left a comment on here the other day - I love that you're here posing with Bruce Samazan during his E-Street days. I adored him back when! I love the outfits too - the early 90's was still quite interesting for fashion I feel - am seriously wanting that Saba anorak Aileen is sporting.

What's good (and not-so-good) about Australia
Dolly Australia Special (Year Unknown - probably 85-86)

Well if you're in Australia you'll either love or loathe this day - being Australia Day. For those who loathe it, this day elicits images of bogans draping themselves in the Australia Flag and acting loud and unruly. If you love it ..... well I guess I'm not sure how you feel as I am in the loathe camp. Although I thought it would be rather fun to look back and see what it was like back when. And hey, it doesn't seem too bad - in fact, it seems kinda fun!

My personal favourite image is the Philips Sunpanel advertisement. It's such a blast from the past - the days when you wanted to tan 24-7 - even when in bed!

I'm not sure I agree with the good/bad list of Australian things, like Brian Canham being bad - noooo way! I guess by this point though perhaps Pseudo Echo may have been considered passe. Although I think I'm with them on the whole budgie poo being bad! Oh and Skippy being good - aaaabsolutely, love me a bit of Skippy the bush kangaroo!

A gorgeous and striking make-up feature from this Dolly Special of '82 - my favourite year of the 80's I think! The cover is so so sweet, and looking at the credits of this issue, this was during the reign of Lisa Wilkinson as Editor. I do think she was the best editor Dolly Magazine has ever had, but then she was lucky to be at the helm during this period of time that's for sure.

The first shot is 'Dramatic You' and the second of course is the 'Romantic You'. I think I prefer the dramatic one... I just stare and stare at it for ages sometimes. It's very Duran Duran-esue and I may try and copy it for the Duran Duran concert that I'm going to in March here in Melbourne Australia!

The KISS cover of this issue has to be one of my all-time favourites. It is just so cute!

It's funny how fruit was often a feature item in many an 80's fashion spread, and this 'Shade Your Image' feature is a great example of this. Not sure how practical these sunglasses styles are, and I'm sure at least one of them has been adopted by Dame Edna Everage, but the pictures are quite sweet. I happened to look up some background information on Peter Yeo who designed these sunglasses, and it's quite an interesting story. He was an AFL player who went on to designing sunglasses, and is now a quadriplegic due to a household accident. He seems like quite the inspirational person, and that's what I love about looking through these vintage magazines - the wealth of new information they can lead you to.

As promised about a million years ago, here's my selection of K-Mart ads from some Dolly's. I've been a bit busy with study/work, but I will try and post some more images asap. I love a bit of low-brow images from my favourite decade, and K-Mart ads certainly fit the bill. I love the 1986 ad, it's a bit more colourful and carefree compared with the '88 ads, although the 'teen idol' ad is a bit arty for K-Mart I think with its soft focus/black and white look.

Following the Esprit ad post, as promised here's a range of Benetton ads from the period when I guess the company was the most prolific. They courted a lot of attention for their ads by showing people of different ethnicities together including children as you can see from the images above.

Next up I think I may go a little low-brow and do a compilation of K-Mart ads from this period, they're quite funny and I'm sure will stir up some memories of a time when your local Super K-Mart had a cafe in it!

These scans for me show a time when Esprit was young fresh and exciting. I walked past one of their stores the other day and wondered just what happened to the brand. It just seems so bland and run of the mill now. I remember in the early 90's when the Esprit tote bag was the bag to carry, and I had the black one with multi-coloured lettering. I really wish Esprit would re-issue their iconic pieces, and do a bit of an homage to their history kind of like how Benetton did in 2009 and luckily I managed to scoop up a lovely Benetton black and white stripe jumper from the archive series at their Tokyo store that year, which has thinner stripes on the torso and thicker ones on the arms. I couldn't find a picture of it online though which is a bummer! Anyway, next up I'll post a series of Benetton ads as featured in a variety of issues. :)

A striking fashion spread with photography by the ubiquitous Graham Shearer. Invariably, whenever I see a spread I really like in the Dolly mags, the photography is usually by Graham Shearer. He has quite the catalogue of work and is certainly prolific to this very day judging by his website.

My list of wants from this spread include the red creeper-like shoes by Skin Deep and the rose print Jonathan Elliot top/skirt combo. Sigh, if only!

It seems I've caught Alison Brahe fever! She looks quite fresh faced and timeless on this cover, the velvet bow is from Sportsgirl, and it's funny to see how du jour these headbands are at the moment, and often credited to Gossip Girl as the origin of the trend - I think not! Actually it probably went even further back to the 1930's or the 1940's I am thinking.

I love this fashion spread, although I had to do a little retouching to the cover and the spread itself as there was some extensive discolouration and creases. I tried my best, and hope it's not too obvious.

Okay, so back when I was a pre-teen, Alison Brahe (the cover model for this issue) was the bees knees. She was consistently voted most popular model, and she had the knack to be both approachable and drop dead gorgeous at the same time. She ended up marrying Cameron Daddo and upon googling her, I have come to find out she and Cameron did an interview with New Idea saying they were broke and suffering from marriage problems - oh dear!

The model in this fashion spread I also remember a lot from Dolly issues of this early 90's era, and her name is Annabel. I do have a soft spot for the early 90's revival of the 60's flower power prints and swing tops and dresses, oh and I can't not mention the SUPREMELY 90's guy holding the boom box hahahaha.

The cover of this issue is not in the best nick as you can clearly see, but I felt this B&W spread was far too good to lay dormant.

I knew there was something that seemed familiar about the cover girl, and when I googled her name I found that she was in Dream a Little Dream with the two Corey's!! Classic film indeed! Back in the height of Corey fever, my older sister used to write 'Corey' all over her books and I'm sure if it actually existed back then, she would have called the Corey Hotline. Phew... that was a bit of a Corey sidetrack....

'The New Romantics' Fashion Feature

Here are some more images from the March '82 Dolly that I posted earlier on, and they show a kind of localised Australian version of the New Romantic movement which originated in the UK. It is kind of a watered down version of the movement, as most things in Australia tend to be, but it does have an element of innocence and genuineness that I like. The pictures kind of look to me like the kind you take at home before you head out to a concert (maybe the shot where the models are posing on the couch with the carpet showing makes me come to that idea). This fashion spread is SO 1983! One of the models in this is once again Collette - who became a pop star in the late 80's in Australia. Some of the labels used in this spread are familiar still such as Bloch's for the ballet shoes and Brian Rochford - although I think he may only do swimwear now. Others such as Mr Strange and Foto from what I know are not around anymore unfortunately, and to get your hands on their stuff is extremely rare.

It looks as if the girls in the first video I've included have stepped right out of the pages of this spread! They are the Moir Sisters and I just adore this performance of their song 'So Excited' on Countdown. The other clip which also reminds me of this spread is the Bananarama and Fun Boy Three song 'Ain't What You Do'.

'Casual Complements' fashion feature

This fashion spread from '82 Dolly really is a winner from start to finish. It reminds me a lot of Steve Strange of Visage when he was doing the Arabian new romantic look. It's really sweet, and in particular I love how the pants in the second image have ties around the bottom to amplify that looser at the top tighter at the ankles silhouette. Also there is something about vintage tights like the white ones in the second last image that seem different to the ones today. They just seem like better quality or something... the woollen ones I buy now always seem to have some polyester in them which is annoying as they always pill. Anyway, enjoy these superb images. Oh and isn't the cover cool - how striking - the covering up of the eye reminds me of I-D Magazine but Dolly style. ;-)

I think what transforms this photo spread from being ordinary is the collage effect exploiting the camouflage theme. My absolute favourite for the styling and entire concept is the first one. I'm a sucker for anything using flowers as it makes me think of Morrissey.

This fashion spread has to be one of my all time favourites. It is just so classic - perhaps the houndstooth print has a lot to do with that. Many of the looks are from Stuart Membery - the genius Australian fashion designer, who judging from his website (click on his name to go there) is now doing architecture. He did the houndstooth hat and jacket in the sixth image, and many more. If you click on the images you can see them in a much bigger size and may be able to read the credits.

Also, I think it is quite interesting to see this spread and see where the upcoming collection by Richard Nicoll for Sportsgirl has gotten its inspiration from. I love the collection he's done by the way ... and am hoping for an injection of money into my bank account so I can buy some pieces.

'Train To Alice' Fashion Feature

I'm not exactly sure what year this Dolly Special is from, as it doesn't list it anywhere at all. So I've estimated it's from '86, just judging by the fashion etc. This issue is such a pop of colour - especially the cover and the 'Tighten Up!' exercise routine spread (not to mention the Keith Haring type squiggles on the outfits). I find that the 'Train To Alice' looks are quite timeless, and fit in quite nicely into the present day. More images from this issue to come!

Here are my fashion feature highlights from this issue. I'm not sure about the whole pairing ballet flats with camouflage pants, but it seems to work for the model in question. I am quite intrigued by the label 'Body Shop' who did quite a few of the clothes in that spread .. I'm thinking it must be another brand than the cosmetics one I'm thinking of. The last image from the Newest Knits spread really for me harks back to the 1940's, and the model wearing the beret has a Lauren Bacall-esque vibe about her.

So I have a cold at the moment, and the only thing that can cheer me up is some Dolly! This issue is an '81 one, and you can tell a difference between the style of this and the '82 ones I think. As usual, it's super cute and cheerful - as exemplified in the roller skating picture. That feature was all about the roller skating craze that was taking over the nation! I actually own a pair of vintage skates - the traditional white with red wheels kind, but the only time I ever took them out I almost fell and had to literally hang on to any surface/wall/rail that I could to get back home, so I guess that's why the 'craze' didn't really take off with me.

I always find the 'What's In' section (which is at the start of every issue) to be really interesting, as it highlighted what the trends were overseas in fashion. As you can see from this issue, the new romantic billowing ethnic trend was big in London - the fashion capital. I included the last picture as it's just a sweet one. Love the crimp and tulle in her hair.

A Sweet Dreams book I owned, as you can tell by my initials on it!

I have been meaning to add this post for what seems like forever, but as I'm back studying again, I'm finding it a little more difficult to find the time unfortunately. The Dressed-Up Denim feature from this issue is such a cute little fashion spread. I just love the way the cassettes/walkmans are shown together with the look of sheer glee at the marvel of such technology on the models faces.

If I had have had the chance I would have loved to won that Sweet Dreams night shirt. I was a big fan of teen romance novels in my time, including Sweet Dreams titles, but also of course Sweet Valley High. As you can see from my 'Secret Admirer' book, I enjoyed scrawling my initials and trumpeting how great I thought I was. Hahaha!

Winter Winners fashion feature, shot at the TAA terminal Sydney Airport

Predictably I'm showing more from that fantastic year - 1982! And this issue is one which will warrant two posts. With a stunning 16 year old Brooke Shields gracing the cover, it promises to be an exciting issue.

I have chosen this fashion spread to feature because the outfits are just so cute and embody the year of this issue. From the ruffled collar, to the waist sashes, to the hosiery and ballet flats combo - it's got 1982 written all over it. I am also fascinated in seeing how the airport looked back then... okay well it looks basically the same.. except of course the people walking through it are far more bland now!

Continuing on from the previous post, here are s'more images from '82 Dolly as there were far too many to condense down to one post. The illustrations included here are just gorgeous, and another reason why these vintage Dolly's stand out from other magazines - even from the same era. They're just so cute and colourful.

I also adore the Cutex ad, obviously showing the influence filtering down to Australia from Britain with the New Romantic/Duran Duran wave. The Leichner ad is just super cool. I remember my mum joined up to their monthly cosmetics deal that they used to advertise in magazines during the 80's, and just being in awe of all the little brushes, powders of all different colours and lipsticks, wondering what each of them were for. I guess that may be why I love make up so much now.

It's been a little while since the last post, so it's definitely time for more Dolly! I pulled out a stack of issues from 1982, and looking through them, I think it may just be one of my favourite years for Dolly. Teased fluffy hair was in - in a big way, as were lots and lots of frills.

Although there were many varying styles featured during this time, from the Moroccan/New Romantic/Arabian inspired (as per the first two shots) to the sweet ballet slippers and summer dress combo (the Hang Ten ad) and my personal favourite look. Also 1982 makes me think of my favourite band - Altered Images.

I think what appeals to me about this era in particular was the innocence. The posing is not as stylised as modelling is today, genuine expression and dare I say it - happiness - is actually apparent in the models faces - unlike today! Also the fact that photographers had to rely on their skills rather than photoshop is inspiring, I also love the fact that you can see blemishes and wrinkles in many of the photographs, magazines today are ruining any semblance there is of realism whatsoever. We have the extreme of magazines like NW that show celebrities at their worst, and then fashion magazines that show them ultra-photoshopped. Where has the normality gone? Anyway, that's my ginormous rant for now, enjoy Dolly.

After the artiness of The Face, I've decided to do a turnaround and upload some colour and fun from Dolly! The cover star of this issue is none other than Collette of Ring My Bell fame in her early modelling days, in a look reminiscent of a softer version of Boy George. I think she looks waay better as a brunette.

The guy with the moustache in the Deluxe Tux spread really really looks like a cross between Dave Ball from Soft Cell and the singer from Modern Romance.

Another one from my Face magazine collection. Featuring an emerging fashion subculture which The Face identified as 'Hard Times' and this look was reminiscent of Marlon Brando - fifties rebel. Think torn Levi's jeans topped with even more torn shirts/tops, with the soundscape being primarily soul music. The third image is the snapshot of the club kids from this scene and I remember when I first flicked through this issue, and upon seeing that page I just stared at these pics for so long.

The last image I think is a really cute one of Siobhan from Bananarama! I would looove to get my hands on one of these Face t-shirts!!

Here's my first post from the depths of my collection of Face magazines. The Face started in the UK of course, in 1980 in response to the New Romantic movement which was emerging at the time. Its focus was on aesthetics in fashion and in music and was a very stylish publication (although in my opinion it did degenerate in the 90's - I guess as music itself degenerated!)

The first two images are stunning - I mean with Mario Testino as photographer, what else can one expect really, plus Nostalgia of Mud clothing by Dame Viv and Malcolm McLaren!

The next two images feature a fixture in the London scene at the time by the name of Lizzie Tear. She is the one to the very left in the last image with the big beehive. She worked in Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren's shop 'World's End' for a time, and later on in 1987 produced a single 'Life Won't Be The Same'. She was also almost in Malcolm McLaren's band Bow Wow Wow ... ahh well, t'wasn't to be, and we ended up having the fab Annabella Lwin instead!

Nescafe Fashion '89 The Fashion Design Council

Yesterday while trawling through some op-shops in Lilydale, I stumbled upon some issues of "The Melburnian"- a magazine I had not heard about, but when I checked the fashion feature section in this issue, boy did I buy it in a hurry!

This feature was on the Fashion Design Council of Australia's annual fashion parade from 1989 which was held at the Melbourne Tennis Centre. The Fashion Design Council was established in 1984 and its purpose was to highlight new and upcoming designers.

It's quite interesting as some names in these pictures are now established figures in the fashion industry, such as Bettina Liano of course, Jenny Bannister and Peter Jago - who is known for his millinery - his face always pops up during the dreaded time of year when the Melbourne Cup is on.

My highlights are the Peter Zygouras look which looks like Dave Vanian from the Damned, the Peter Jago hats, and the Liza Stedman looks are so ethereal. As it turns out she too is a milliner and upon checking out her website... an amazing one too.

It's interesting to see the way some of these talented emerging designers started out and how they have developed since.

Edit: Oh and I forgot to mention how much the model for Bettina Liano in the green outfit looks like the singer from Black Box!

The cover girl in this issue was 16 year old Victoria, and she was the runner-up in the previous years Dolly/Agree II Cover Girl contest, and this was her very first magazine cover. Not too sure what happened to her, as I don't really see her in many of the Dolly issues onwards. The tartan fashion feature in this issue is one of my favourites from my collection - there's just something about tartan in many colours, textures and patterns in one outfit that is so stylish and fun.

Then just for curiosity sake I've added a bit of a blast from the past with Naomi Watts fresh faced during her modelling days, and lastly this amazing ad for the Commonwealth Bank - they sure don't make ads like that anymore! I love that there looks to be a Martin Gore of Depeche Mode look a like in the mix!

Here's Dolly Magazine from 1984, this is an amazing issue, hence why I've added quite a few images to this post... I just couldn't cut them down! The Bourjois cosmetics ad is so artistic .... I just had to include the Culture Club advertisement.. pure style.

The article which defines and analyses various subcultures in a humourous way is actually quite relevant to this day I think! To quote the article "Rockabillies grow up to be university students, married couples, Gene Vincent look-alikes and owners of American cars with large tail fins." Sooo true, haha. And I guess you could substitute the Stuart Membery kids with Sass and Bide kids!

Then we have Nicole Kidman during her 80's modelling days and a fabulous ad for a brand called 'Attaque' which I have no information about whatsoever unfortunately. I'm guessing they made belts by the look of the picture, but if anyone has any information about this label please let me know!

In my vast collection of Dolly magazines, there is always at least one Tab ad - featuring a leotard clad model no less, so of course I had to scan one in here for my first Dolly post! How cute is the Levi's ad with the ice-cream t-shirt, although my favourite is probably the orange Levi's model with the tassel waist sash. What goes around comes around though, and the first Levi's look doesn't look out of place today I have to say. (Hey that rhymes)!

First up in this issue we have a Guerlain Paris make-up ad. Then a make-up spread showcasing cosmetics from Chanel, Guerlain, Jil Sander, Lancome and Lancaster. After that, a focus on hosiery... it'd make a great cover for a record I think... maybe ZZ Top??!! The last image looks like Beetlejuice inspired - before Beetlejuice was made though!

These images are from a German pattern magazine called Burda (which I think is still going to this day) from 1985. Love the Chanel ad, and in the middle Linda Evangelista (she is also on the cover, but it's kinda damaged though, so I'm not going to upload it) and lastly this cool ad for a label called 'Genny'.

Love this fashion spread... the make-up is part Glam part New Romantic (before New Romantic) part Futurustic. Once again, I am awe-struck that this is from 1977, and in Australia too - my picture of Australian women's fashion at this time is an outfit comprised of brown corduroy pants teamed with a synthetic fibre top, so this is very inspiring.
