Vidal Sassoon Advertisement - British Vogue June 1983
These ads from Vidal Sassoon are so WOW! Kinda reminding me of an image collaboration between Visage and Roxy Music. The photography is credited to Spencer Rowell.

A New Number For Chanel - British Vogue June 1983
A sumptuous vision of Karl Lagerfeld's Chanel circa 1983 with a definite throwback to the 1930's heyday of the brand.

At Home At Ease - Vogue Australia April 1983
Time to switch to 1983! This spread is full of texture, winter woollens, cowl necks and of course Issey Miyake! Simply stunning photography by Patrick Russell, and I managed to find a very interesting article on Mr Russell's wide ranging influence that went far beyond the pages of Vogue here!

Sublime Soirées - Vogue Australia April 1979
A very New Romantic glamorous adventure features in this aptly titled Sublime Soirées Vogue editorial from 1979. Photographed at the piano bar of the Wentworth Hotel in Sydney, the spread is lush with brocade velvets, silks, satins and opulence in general. I love it!

Various Images from Vogue Australia August 1982
Here's a bit of a cross-section of the various looks featured in this 1982 issue of Vogue. And I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVE 1982! The looks here evoke innocence amplified by sailor collars, puffed sleeves and gorgeous tailoring.

Kinitics - Vogue Australia April 1979
I think I literally gasped when I saw this spread. With simply superb photography by Monty Coles, it is such an artistic, interesting editorial. I especially love the Jenny Kee for Flamingo Park geometric cocoon jumper, as for my favourite shot... I just can't decide, they are all so magnificent!

Fiorucci Advertisement - Vogue Australia September 1978
A really cool, colourful, fun and above all characteristically Fiorucci advertisement from 1978. As I don't think we have Fiorucci here at all in Australia, I had a look at their website (linked above) and saw that they're pretty much staying true to that aesthetic to this day. It's kinda cool to see they're doing a collaboration with Ikea - and have a range of ice-cream lamps that I would loooove to own, but alas...

Jungle Prints On The Prowl - Vogue Australia November 1980
A jungle-riffic spread featuring Sue Smithers as one of the models (with the beauty spot), I'm not sure who the others are unfortunately. My favourite image is the little picture of the Prue Acton Girl Friday dress in the bottom right hand corner of the last image.

Woolmark Quality Always Makes Its Mark - Vogue Australia April 1983
As promised, here's the second line up of the Woolmark feature from Vogue Australia April 1983. The first shot by Sentex is AMAZING. It looks like a scene out of a film - and instantly made me thought of this scene from Heather's.
The Cuggi ad is quite interesting as it is before the brand's metamorphosis into 'Coogi' when they became known for their unique knitwear. Of course I now associate it with Kath and Kim though!

Woolmark Quality Always Makes Its Mark - Vogue Australia April 1983
A few images from a Woolmark feature spread throughout this April 1983 issue of Vogue Australia. There are many more images to come that I'll put up tomorrow. I simply had to show that Walter Kristensen set first, as it is just too too cute. My next fave has to be the puffed sleeve number from McMahon's Farm.
