No Sweat - Dolly May 1983

There is nothing like 80's sportswear!  This photo spread photographed by Graham Shearer features the stunning Collette and Julie Savona modelling layers of pastel sweats in contrasting colours with gorgeous complimentary make-up by Debbie Carson to go with it.  And of course when one wants to work up a sweat then it is only customary to wear a full face of make-up isn't it!

    1. Me too, they're soo expensive though! I am kinda partial to 80's ones though (before they put the writing on the top of the lens) !

    2. I bought (OK my Mum did) the ones above in 1984 for $50.00 they were so expensive but I wore them for years and years. I still wear Ray Ban I think they are good quality and not as expensive as most labels.

    3. True, they are good quality and they tend to feel sturdier and sit better on your face than nasty cheapies!

  2. OMG..I so remember this spread..I loved the outfits..especially the lemon & pink. I remember this trend clearly..I had a jersey knit skirt, opaque tights and leg warmers..oh & the lace-up flats. Such fond memories of my teens.

  4. Hey guys,

Julie Savona was my girlfriend for awhile in Paris when we were both modeling there in the '80's. Anyone know where she is now? I'd love to catch up!

Thanks in advance! Last I heard she moved back to Australia and was working as some sort of TV personality. (But that was eons ago....)
