The Long And The Short Of It - Dolly November 1981

November 1981
Model Jenny
Photographer John Pinfold
Make-up Petrina

A very sweet editorial from this November 1981 issue of Dolly (one of the cutest Dolly covers ever in my opinion).  Featuring models in the latest in the fashions of 1981 (namely knickerbockers) looking excited, entertained and aghast at various comic issues.

Skirting Around The Edges - Dolly June 1982

Okay so clearly I'm obsessed with 1982!  The fleecy skirt looks here so remind me of Bananarama - in their early years of course, and especially when they worked with Fun Boy Three (love that band).  The red ruffly top by Jonathan Elliot in the fourth picture I would love to own, and I really like the shoes by Coral Lea.

Dolly Magazine February 1981

February 1981
Model Belinda Beckley
Photographer Bob Donaldson

I've been trying to stick with posting at least once a day, so here goes!  This spread is kinda daggy in terms of the fashion, but sweet at the same time.  Some of the outfits do not date well at all, but a couple have fared well including the yellow polka dot/stripy pant combo and the stripy playsuit in the last picture (in my opinion anyway) enjoy!

Dolly Magazine December 1985

December 1985
Model Sarah Gallagher

Some Like It Hot fashion spread
Photography Graham Shearer

A striking fashion spread with photography by the ubiquitous Graham Shearer.  Invariably, whenever I see a spread I really like in the Dolly mags, the photography is usually by Graham Shearer.  He has quite the catalogue of work and is certainly prolific to this very day judging by his website.

My list of wants from this spread include the red creeper-like shoes by Skin Deep and the rose print Jonathan Elliot top/skirt combo. Sigh, if only!
