Leichner Make-Up Advertisement - Dolly December 1983
A mini post today, but it's quality over quantity with this faaabulous Leichner make-up advertisement. The model is very familiar, I am sure her name appears somewhere in my pile of Dolly's, and when I find it I'll update this with the info.

I'm not sure what this model's name is, but she was definitely a huge part of Dolly magazine for many issues. I adore the vibrant make-up job in the second photo - reminds me of the Wham 'wake me up before you go go' 7" cover.

How fresh and vibrant are these shots? This is from the March 1982 issue of Dolly, and I just couldn't bear to have these beautiful shots sitting away unseen so here they are. My favourite is the Orange picture ... I love me some teased hair, orange make up and bright lippie!

I also adore the Cutex ad, obviously showing the influence filtering down to Australia from Britain with the New Romantic/Duran Duran wave. The Leichner ad is just super cool. I remember my mum joined up to their monthly cosmetics deal that they used to advertise in magazines during the 80's, and just being in awe of all the little brushes, powders of all different colours and lipsticks, wondering what each of them were for. I guess that may be why I love make up so much now.
